Description
American Traveler is seeking a Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist with RRT and NRP certification for a Level 4 NICU day shift position.
Details
- ,Work in a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit with 109 neonatal intensive care beds
- Day shift hours from 07:00 to 19:30
- Every 3rd weekend commitment
- Utilizes specialized NICU equipment including Servo N, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, and Optiflow
- 13-week contract assignment
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC required, or Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of start
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
- Advanced NRP certification preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
- License required if applicable
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of respiratory treatment and develop individualized care plans based on diagnosis
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and respiratory equipment
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate treatment based on patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health conditions and available community support programs
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes as needed
- Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue
- Local candidates accepted, though a radius rule applies that may affect pay rate depending on distance from the facility
