Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level 1 trauma center experience and skills in scrubbing/circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases.

Details

• Work in a 23-suite Operating Room within a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital setting
• Facility averages 75 cases per day
• Evening shift schedule (9A-7P, 9A-9P, 11A-9P, or 11A-11P)
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Charge nurse present on all shifts
• Uses Epic EMR
• Self-scheduling permitted within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
• No floating requirements
• Weekend rotation required, working 12-hour shifts alongside staff
• May be required to work 8-hour weekday shifts in rotation
• Weeknight call required 3-4 times per 4-week period
• Weekend call required 1 shift per 4-week period
• Call response time of 45 minutes required
• Circulator call staff may be utilized for cardiac or eye cases depending on assigned call center

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Level 1 trauma center experience required
• Experience scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• BSN not required
• Scrubbing not required but considered a bonus

Additional Information

• Perform scrubbing and circulating duties for Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, Cardiac, and Ex-Lap cases
• Participate in call rotation on par with permanent staff, assigned to a specific call center
• RNs may sign up for tech call spots, though techs may bump RNs if needed to meet tech staffing requirements
• Hospital-issued scrubs required per dress code
• Manager will conduct interviews directly with no prescreen required
• ASAP start required with assignment ending by June 1st
