Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Outpatient Surgery/OR Circulation position requiring inpatient or ambulatory OR experience and a WI or compact RN license.
Details
- Outpatient Surgery unit within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital setting
- Wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, plastics, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, orthopedics, and oral/maxillofacial procedures
- Utilizes Epic EMR
- Day shift schedule with 4x10-hour shifts, 6:40 AM to 5:10 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off each week
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of OR circulation experience required
- Inpatient or ambulatory OR experience required
- Acute care experience within the specialty required within the last 3 years for inpatient RN travelers
- Epic charting experience required, preferably within the past 12 months
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to start
Additional Information
- Perform OR circulating duties across a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Located in a nationally ranked, Magnet-designated academic medical center
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- Telemetry exam requires 100% accuracy on lethal rhythm identification and an 80% or higher passing score, with up to three attempts allowed
