Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring 2 years of RN experience with procedure and 1:1 patient ratio experience.
Details
- Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift schedule with 10-hour (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM) or 12-hour (8:00 AM - 8:30 PM) shift options
- Performs procedures including colonoscopy and EGD
- Circulates for endoscopy procedures
- Requires 1:1 patient ratio experience
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Endoscopy procedure experience required
- PACU experience preferred
- Experience starting and maintaining IVs
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience monitoring conscious sedation
- Pre-procedure care experience required
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role; Charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care for endoscopy procedures including circulating, pre-procedure preparation, and conscious sedation monitoring
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict credentialing timelines
- Candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
- Candidates at extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet that must be completed urgently upon receipt
- RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of consideration, limited to 7 days or less
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at this facility
