Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Endoscopy position requiring prior endoscopy experience and 1:1 patient ratio experience.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio experience required
• Performs procedures including circulate, colonoscopy, and EGD

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Endoscopy procedure experience required
• PACU experience preferred
• Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skilled in monitoring conscious sedation
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN reference is acceptable as the second reference; coworker references not accepted

Additional Information

• Responsible for pre-procedure preparation and patient monitoring during conscious sedation
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
• Candidates located outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location as soon as possible after booking
• Candidates located far from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet to complete urgently upon receipt
• RTO must be requested and built into the contract prior to consideration, limited to 7 days or less
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
• Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
