Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Rehab position requiring MO or compact RN license, telemetry interpretation skills, and 2+ years of experience.

Details

• Work in the Rehab unit of a community hospital setting
• Cardiac rehab patient population including angina, hypertension, post cardiac surgery, post MI, and post vascular surgery cases
• On-unit telemetry monitoring required
• Day shift schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Self-scheduling with block scheduling allowed unless staffing gaps require balancing
• Floating required in rotation with staff per facility policy, with appropriate orientation provided

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required in hand prior to start
• Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in reading and interpreting telemetry and dysrhythmias
• Experience managing cardiac arrest and dysrhythmias
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac rehab nursing care including blood glucose monitoring, diabetic teaching, fall risk assessment/prevention, infection prevention, and pain assessment and management
• Perform patient teaching and cardiac monitoring with emergency response as needed
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Some holiday and weekend coverage expected
