Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical float position requiring 3 years of experience and comfort caring for occasional critical care patients.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital environment
• MS Float role requiring comfort with occasional critical care patients
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (18:45-7:15)
• Required to work every other weekend (EOW)
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Expect to work some holidays

Requirements

• Active RN license in South Carolina (SC) or compact, in hand at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS preferred
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Two supervisory references required
• Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at local rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with no requests during the first two weeks or for full calendar weeks off during the assignment
• Any RTO must be approved and documented prior to assignment start
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for 5 years before becoming eligible to return as a traveler
