Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU position requiring dedicated MICU experience and Level 1 trauma background at a large, fast-paced hospital.
Details
- Work in the Medical ICU (MICU) of a large, fast-paced Level 1 trauma hospital
- 12-hour rotating shifts covering both days and nights
- 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
- Uses Epic EMR system
- No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Dedicated Medical ICU experience required
- Level 1 trauma hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Must pass Day 1 medication and EKG exams with 80% or higher to maintain assignment
- Proof of flu vaccination required during flu season
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing services to medically complex ICU patients in a high-acuity environment
- Weekly orientation provided
- Any color scrubs permitted
- Practice tests will be completed during compliance process to prepare for required exams
- COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required, with medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Previous employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6+ month break from any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility before returning
