Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2 years of specialty experience and participation in a rotating on-call schedule.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab unit featuring 4 suites (2 cath, 1 IR, 1 EP)
• Circulates for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, averaging 15-20 cases per day
• Uses MEDITECH EMR and GE Maclabs recording station equipment
• Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts (7:00a-5:30p or similar), 4 weekday shifts
• On call 1-2 days per week and every 4th weekend, covering both cath lab and IR
• Call response time of 30 minutes required
• Rotating day off with a 4-day weekend every 5th weekend
• No floating required
• Floor-specific orientation of 1-2 weeks

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA state or compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab specialty experience required
• Diagnostic and interventional lab experience required
• Balloon pump experience required
• IR experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick patient turnover
• No first-time travelers considered for this role

Additional Information

• Circulate for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and electrophysiology cases
• Participate in holiday call coverage on a rotating basis with staff
• Scrubs may be any color, solid, and professional in appearance
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement
• Not eligible if previously employed by the facility within the last 12 months
