Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring a PA or Compact RN license and prior critical care experience.
Details
- Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Shift options include Nights (3x12, 19:00-7:00) or Days (3x12, 7:00-19:00)
- Cerner charting system preferred
- Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy, central line care/management, PICC line management, and arterial line management
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
- Experience titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, and administering continuous IV sedation
- Neurological care skills including ICP monitoring, EVD management, and post-craniotomy/neurosurgery care
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and management of acute/chronic renal failure
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to a medically complex ICU patient population
- Required to work every other holiday
- Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
- Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
