Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience in cardiac interventional radiology procedures, including scrub and circulate skills.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures
• 13-week assignment with 2 travelers needed for ASAP starts
• Monday through Friday day shift, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Evening, night, weekend, and holiday call coverage required in rotation with staff
• High patient-to-caregiver ratios with frequent floating required within the hospital
• Uses Meditech EMR

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology required
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• SCRQSA and ARRT certification required
• Valid state license required if applicable
• Skills required include circulating and scrubbing for procedures
• Meditech EMR experience preferred but not required
• Experience with fluoroscopy, 3D imaging, and PACS preferred
• Proficiency in procedures such as vascular closure systems, angiography, stent placement, and central venous access preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include room circulating, scrubbing, equipment set up, EKG lead placement, prepping access sites, and monitoring patients during procedures
• May assist with a wide range of interventional procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placements, biopsies, and vascular access management
• Floating occurs within a single hospital facility in accordance with Joint Commission standards and includes appropriate orientation to the new unit
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius to be eligible for travel rate; local candidates are not accepted
• Minimal to no RTO permitted, especially during the first weeks of the assignment; any RTO must be approved prior to assignment start and discussed during the interview
• Returning staff must have been away for at least 1 year and in good standing at the time of departure
