Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and AL or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in an 8-bed high acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) within a hospital setting
- Provide complex monitoring and treatment of adult cardiac patients
- Receive patients from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas requiring specialized cardiac care
- 13-week travel assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Will accept 36 or 48 hours per week
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Required to work every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required for every holiday
- Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals within the health system
Requirements
- Active RN license - State of Alabama or compact license required (no temporary or pending licenses accepted)
- Nursys license verification required
- Associate degree in nursing required
- Current certifications required: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, and AHA NIH (or Red Cross equivalent)
- PALS certification preferred if working in pediatric unit
- 2 years of RN experience required (18 months may be considered)
- 1 year of recent experience in CICU/cardiac specialty required
- No prior license actions or hits allowed, past or current
Additional Information
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes for high-acuity cardiac patients
- Exhibit high levels of professional competency in a fast-paced cardiac care environment
- Required to complete an on-site cardiac exam in addition to an online pre-test
- Virtual orientation includes competency-based modules
- Dress code requires solid navy scrubs
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate with no mile radius restrictions
- Parking is available on-site
