Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring both KS and MO/compact licensure and AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Details

  • Work in the Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool within a children's hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Floating required between the main campus and a sister hospital located in Overland Park, KS, approximately 12 miles southwest of the main Kansas City campus
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements

  • Active RN license required in both Kansas and Missouri, or a compact RN license
  • Candidates starting at the main campus may begin with a pending Kansas license if documentation of application is provided
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; RQI certifications are not accepted
  • AHA PALS certification required at time of consideration
  • Active state license required at time of consideration; pending licenses are not accepted
  • Must pass a medication/dosage test with 100% accuracy within the first week, with up to three attempts allowed
  • Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
  • Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing services to pediatric patients
  • Facility is a smoke-free and nicotine-free campus, and candidates will be tested for nicotine use
