Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a Level III Neonatal ICU position requiring 5 years of NICU experience and NRP certification.
Details
- Work in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a hospital
- 13-week assignment on day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Cares for neonates across a range of gestational ages, including those less than 24-28 weeks
- Patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Call requirement of up to 4 call shifts within an 8-week period
- Floating is primarily within the Pediatrics and NICU service line, but may include floating to other units as a 1:1 safety sitter
- Uses Cerner charting system
Requirements
- Active RN license (Montana state or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
- Minimum 5 years of NICU RN experience required
- Level III NICU experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Experience with high-risk deliveries, ventilator management, and neonatal emergency medications preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, UAC/UVC management, and neonatal dosage calculations
- References required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive care to critically ill neonates, including those requiring respiratory support, cardiovascular monitoring, and specialized interventions
- Responsibilities may include attending high-risk deliveries and supporting infants with conditions such as respiratory distress syndrome, necrotizing enterocolitis, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
- Scrubs are provided
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates are not accepted; must reside 75+ miles from the facility to be eligible
- Previous permanent employees of the facility must have taken a 2-year break in employment before being eligible
