Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Acute Care Hospital with 24-hour emergency care, full medical/surgical services, and an attached 71-bed skilled Extended Care facility
• Level IV trauma center with 25 staffed beds
• Both inpatient and outpatient Physical Therapy responsibilities
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends required
• No on-call requirements
• May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs
• Uses Cerner charting system for hospital documentation and PCC for LTC

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Physical Therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• State License required if applicable; compact license accepted
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Experience with orthopedic, cardiopulmonary, geriatric, and wound care patient populations

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across acute care and outpatient settings
• Treats a variety of orthopedic and neurologic conditions including joint replacements, spinal conditions, and stroke/TBI recovery
• Utilizes modalities such as e-stim, TENS, ultrasound, traction, and hydrotherapy
• Any scrub color accepted per facility dress code policy

• No RTO permitted during first two weeks due to orientation; RTO limited to one week thereafter
