Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an OH or compact RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Typical staffing ratio is 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Call required with a 1-hour return-to-facility expectation
• Floating required to other campus MS/Tele units (Bucyrus and Galion) if census drops

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required, no pending licenses accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent, consecutive MS/hospital acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Knowledge of medication scanning required
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Utilize Rapid Response/Code teams as needed
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
• Administer respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks
• Perform non-invasive airway management
• Follow isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Facility is a smoke-free campus
• Facility will not accept time off requests during major holidays
• Candidates should have minimal to no RTO
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being submitted for this position
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
