Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring 2 years of experience and a MO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Requires one night call per week and one weekend call per month
• Floating is mandatory, including serving as a Patient Observer/Sitter when needed
• Cerner charting system preferred

Requirements

• Active MO or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with travel experience required
• ICU or ED experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Experience with IR procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, vascular closure systems, and central line management preferred
• Ability to ambulate, reach, and move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures, including vascular, neurological, pulmonary, and genitourinary studies
• Assist with procedures such as chemoembolization, liver biopsy, TIPS, and stent placements
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, IV therapy, and emergency medications as needed
• Work in a 24/7 healthcare facility with rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and inclement weather work requirements
• At least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract must be worked
• Maximum RTO of 10 days
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler
• Contracts may be extended up to 3 consecutive 13-week terms (9 months), followed by a mandatory 6-month break before returning in an agency capacity
• Re-orientation not required if returning within 18 months
