Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist for an outpatient imaging setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and current ARRT and BLS certification.

Details

• Outpatient imaging center setting
• Daily caseload of 10-15 patients
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• Rotating Saturday shifts approximately once every couple of months
• On-call required as needed
• No floating to sister facilities required
• Uses PACS system and Epic charting (Epic experience preferred)
• Philips equipment experience preferred; GE, Siemens, and Toshiba experience also relevant

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience required
• BLS and ARRT certification required; ARRT Advanced certification preferred
• VA license required in hand at time of submission (temporary license not accepted); license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• PACS and contrast media skills required
• Experience starting peripheral IVs required
• Proficiency in MRI procedures including head/neck, abdomen/pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal imaging
• Experience with diffusion imaging, gradient echo imaging, image post-processing, MIP, MRP, spin echo images, surface coils, and T1/T2 weighted images required
• Philips iSite PACS document scanning and Care Logistics software experience preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• Perform a wide range of MRI procedures including abdominal and pelvic imaging, MRA, MRV, MRCP, head/neck, chest, spine, and musculoskeletal studies
• Responsibilities include preparation and administration of contrast media and starting peripheral IVs
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing
• All required certifications must be obtained prior to start
• RTO requests beyond 7 days require an equivalent extension of the assignment
• Scrub color required is Caribbean blue
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation before rejoining this healthcare system
