Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification and at least 1 year of experience to perform diverse imaging procedures at a Level II Trauma Center.
Details
- .Works in the MRI department of a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
- Performs general, MSK, neuro, vascular, and cardiac MR imaging
- Serves adult and pediatric patients, including those requiring anesthesia, ventilator support, or with conditional implants
- Daily caseload of approximately 10-15 patients
- Utilizes Philips iSite PACS, document scanning, and Care Logistics software
- Charts in Epic
- Schedule is 4x9 hour day shifts, Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-2:30 PM
- Requires rotating weekday and Friday on-call coverage, up to 2 days per week depending on staffing needs
- Includes weekend rotational call and holiday rotation
- May float within scope of practice to meet facility needs
- No floating required to sister facilities
- Block scheduling accommodations available at manager's discretion
Requirements
- ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required; if ARMRIT, minimum 6 months of experience needed
- ARRT (R) certification preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of MRI experience required
- Some Philips equipment experience required
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience with PACS and contrast administration required
- Ability to start peripheral IVs
- Skilled in abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, chest, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular MR imaging
- Experience with special imaging procedures such as MIP, MRP, and diffusion imaging
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Proficient in isolation precautions and PPE use
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Performs a wide range of MR imaging studies including cardiac, MSK, neuro, and vascular procedures
- Cares for complex patients, including those with conditional implants or requiring anesthesia/ventilator support
- Scrub color is Caribbean blue
- Up to 8 hours of pre-start orientation modules required within 1 week of signing
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
- No radius restriction for local candidates
- RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion
- Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation from the facility before reapplying
