Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool position requiring recent Epic experience and 2+ years of Tele/IMC nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele/IMC Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Float between MS units and IMC units as part of the float pool
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Care for patients with acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, trauma, and stroke
• Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required between Med/Surg and IMC units
• Expect to work some holidays and weekends

Requirements

• Active RN license (MD state or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS preferred)
• 2+ years of Telemetry experience required
• 2+ years of prior IMC unit experience in a hospital setting required
• Recent Med/Surg Tele experience required in a hospital setting
• Recent Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Flu shot required
• 2-step PPD test required with no exceptions

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg and IMC patient populations, including cardiac, respiratory, and neurological cases
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be accepted
• Candidates must present RTO at time of submission, with approval required prior to assignment
• Travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after 1 year before being eligible to return
• Former permanent employees must be separated for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
