Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Pediatric Home Health position requiring PICU experience and trach/vent management skills for medically complex pediatric patients.
Details
- Dedicated home health position providing in-home care, not based at a facility
- Pediatric patient population, primarily managing tracheostomy and ventilator care
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
- 12-week assignment length
- All travelers will float to competent units
- EPIC charting experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BSN required as this is a Magnet facility
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- PICU experience required
- Trach and vent management experience with home-based pediatric patients required
- Minimum 6 months experience in home health, acute care, or related settings (Home Care, Geriatric care, Medical/Surgical, CCU, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, or DODD)
- Experience with pediatrics and/or developmental delays preferred
- Experience managing technology-dependent and/or medically complex patients preferred
- Strong communication skills for working with all levels within an organization
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required
- Two professional references required
Additional Information
- Provide in-home nursing care primarily for pediatric patients with tracheostomies and ventilators
- No mile radius rule applies for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Facility will consider prior employees returning as travelers as long as they are not currently active employees
- Facility maintains a strict do-not-call policy
