Description
American Traveler is hiring a General Rad Technologist with ARRT certification and recent C-arm/OR experience for a long-term travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the Diagnostic Imaging department of a hospital setting
- Perform routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable x-ray examinations
- 4x10 hour AM shifts, 40 hours per week, from 0700-1730, Friday-Monday
- Utilizes Shimadzu portable and Rad Speed Pro C-arm equipment
- Uses PACS, RIS, and Epic EMR
- On-call requirement
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- Washington State certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist in X-Ray required
- BLS certification required
- Recent C-arm/OR experience required
- Shimadzu portable equipment experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Prepare for and perform all x-ray examinations including routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable studies
- Operate and effectively utilize x-ray room, portable, and OR x-ray equipment
- Review and evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality
- Assist radiologists with fluoroscopic procedures and may perform minor fluoroscopic procedures under their direction per certification scope
- Provide direct training and supervision to student technologists alongside the clinical instructor
- Complete required documentation for each examination performed
- Lift and transfer patients safely using proper ergonomic technique and safe patient handling devices
- Communicate with patients' family members or caregivers as needed
- Knowledge of ALARA, Image Gently, and Image Wisely principles required
