Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position caring for adult and potentially pediatric patients.
Details
- Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics-CRT unit setting
- Adult patient population with potential for pediatric patients
- Night shift rotating schedule: one week of 3x12-hour shifts, next week of 4x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30)
- Total of 84 hours worked per two-week pay period
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- RRT license required; CRT accepted
- License required if applicable
- Active Compact or State License in hand required at time of submission
- Must reside at least 75 miles from facility to be considered
- Valid driver's license required with address matching permanent address
- Two professional references required: one from a Charge nurse or higher and one supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
- Copy of certifications required for consideration
Additional Information
- Must be willing to accept the 84-hour, two-week rotating schedule (3x12 followed by 4x12) or assignment will be cancelled
- Local candidates are not accepted for this position
- Up to 7 days of RTO will be considered and must be presented upfront with no changes accepted
- Must work either a major or minor shift on every holiday
- Any license or background check issues must be disclosed upfront
- Facility accepts minimal traveler pairs, and pairs will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
- Candidates may only apply to one position at a time
- Travelers who have worked one year in the system must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
