Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring prior travel experience and an active SC or Compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the PACU department of an ambulatory/outpatient hospital setting
- 13-week assignment on night shift, 3x12 hours from 7:30pm-8:00am, Monday through Friday
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- No major holiday coverage required for this schedule
- May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required in hand at time of start
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Minimum 1 year of PACU experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required, first-time travelers not accepted
- Driver's License and Social Security Number required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from procedures
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility for standard consideration; candidates within this radius may be considered at a reduced rate
- Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application, as approval is based on facility needs and multiple RTO requests within the 13-week contract will be denied
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November, peak in August-September), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
