Description

American Traveler is hiring a Staff RN for a Surgical Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring an active OH or compact RN license and at least one year of experience.

Details

• Full-time, 13-week contract assignment on a Surgical Med/Surg/PCU unit
• Adult med-surg patient population
• Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills required
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent clinical decisions

Additional Information

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately
• Notify physicians of pertinent patient status changes and implement physician orders
• Supervise and delegate role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and legible nursing documentation
• Role requires frequent patient handling and the ability to exert heavy physical force
• Work in a collaborative team environment supporting patient-centered care
