Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist to support IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro procedures, requiring 1+ year of experience and ARRT certification.

Details

  • Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • Supports IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
  • Daily caseload of approximately 15 cases per department
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Weeknight and weekend call required
  • On-call requirements include 2-hour callback minimum, 8 call days within a 4-week period, and 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks (Friday-Monday)
  • 24-hour on-call coverage required on Saturdays and Sundays
  • May float within the cath lab unit to meet facility needs
  • Uses Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips/Boston IVUS/IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave equipment
  • Compatible with any electronic charting system

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • ARRT (R) certification required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • State license required if applicable
  • Experience with vascular, cardiac, and neuro procedures required
  • Skills in diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, including PCI, PTCA, stent placement, and rotablator atherectomy
  • Experience with EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Experience scrubbing and maintaining sterile field
  • Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions, infection control, and sterile technique

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include equipment setup, room circulating, scrubbing, and maintaining sterile field
  • Structural heart procedures such as TAVR, Mitraclip, and Watchman are covered by the in-house cath lab team
  • Facility attempts to accommodate consistent block scheduling where possible
  • Orientation includes annual modules that vary by specialty
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates are not accepted within 75 miles of the facility
  • RTO is limited to 7 days
