Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Home Health RN with OR RN license, requiring at least 1 year of skilled home health experience and OASIS proficiency for a 13-week assignment.

Details

• Home health setting serving the West Salem/Keizer area and surrounding communities, with potential coverage in Woodburn
• Adult home health patient population
• Caseload of up to 6 patients per day with 1:1 patient ratio and 30 productivity points standard
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 5 days per week
• May require some weekend work
• No on-call responsibilities required
• No floating between units required
• EMR/charting system is Epic and OASIS, with Epic experience preferred and OASIS experience required

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required, compact license accepted and must be in hand at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
• OASIS documentation experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Must have reliable personal transportation for home visits
• Two professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Provide skilled home health nursing care including admission assessments, start of care, recertification, resumption of care, and discharge visits
• Perform wound care, medication administration and management, pain assessment, and infection control precautions
• Administer medications via intramuscular, intravenous, and subcutaneous routes, including IV starts and maintenance and phlebotomy as needed
• System groups clients to minimize drive time, though occasional travel radius may exceed 50 miles
• Requires primary series COVID-19 vaccination plus one booster
• Scrub attire is flexible, any color scrubs or business casual accepted (no blue denim)
• Free parking available, with mileage reimbursement at IRS standard rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at the same rate
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travel candidate, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per pay period (every two weeks)
