Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an active IL RN license and at least 2 years of experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Medical Surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required
• Uses Epic charting system
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Respiratory care including tracheostomy care/management

Requirements

• Active IL RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit, including cardiac monitoring and respiratory/tracheostomy management
• RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no more than 3 days requested and none during the first or last week of the contract
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine locations (including Ingalls) must have been separated for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler
