Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and an active MA RN license
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a hospital environment
- Day shift schedule (4x10 hours), 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
- 40 hours per week with no weekend requirements
- No on-call responsibilities
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- 2 professional references required, one of which must be from a Nurse Manager or higher
Additional Information
- Perform circulating and/or scrub nurse duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, urology, gynecology, plastics, thoracic, ENT, podiatry, and robotic-assisted procedures
- Utilize surgical equipment such as electrosurgical units, cell saver, fiber optic light sources, and Steris systems
- Apply core competencies including infection control, specimen handling, universal protocol time-out procedures, and wound management
- Required to complete a Pass/Fail EKG test during orientation as part of compliance requirements
- Complete facility training modules pre-start and during orientation, with additional annual modules
- Candidates residing within a 200-mile radius of the facility are accepted as locals at the same bill rate
- Candidates with prior employment at this health system must have a 12-month separation before being eligible for return
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
