Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- Work in a diagnostic and interventional Cardiac Cath Lab within a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with variable days off
- On-call required for weeknights (6:00 PM to 7:30 AM) and weekends (Friday 6:00 PM to Monday 7:30 AM), currently averaging 1 weeknight per week and 1 full weekend per month
- Weekend shifts required only when taking call
- Floating required within the hospital and to sister hospitals, including Main Campus and Southwest Waterfront locations
- May be cross-trained to support EP procedures and assist with TAVR/TMVR cases in the Hybrid OR
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA Traditional only, RQI not accepted)
- ARRT certification required; PALS preferred
- Active state license required for consideration, license required if applicable
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, PCI, and TAVR procedures
- Skilled in scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field
- Experience with mitral clip procedures preferred
- Must provide 2 manager or supervisor references from within the last 24 months (charge RN references not accepted)
- Work history verification covering the last 7 years, including city, state, dates of employment, and PTO
Additional Information
- Perform intraprocedural technical and patient care functions with a primary focus on operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Responsibilities include monitoring and scrubbing procedures, assisting with unit development projects, and supply/equipment management
- Scrubs provided, no prints permitted
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
- Maximum RTO of 1 week, must be submitted upfront
- Returning staff must have a break of 6 or more months before returning as a traveler
- COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted
- Refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
