Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a high-volume Birthing Pavilion requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.
Details
- Work in a Birthing Pavilion performing approximately 1300 deliveries annually
- Unit includes 21 patient rooms, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms
- Nurse:patient ratios generally follow AWHONN staffing guidelines
- 1:1 ratio for Pitocin administration and active labor with intermittent monitoring
- 1:2 ratio for cervical ripening, and 1:1 when combined with Pitocin
- 1:2 ratio for high-risk medications including Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips
- 1:3 ratio for Antepartum and Postpartum couplet care
- Day shift schedule
- ASAP start required
Requirements
- Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
- BLS certification mandatory
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Two professional references from managers required
Additional Information
- Provide labor and delivery nursing care across triage, active labor, antepartum, and postpartum units
- Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
