Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a high-volume Birthing Pavilion requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience.

Details

Work in a Birthing Pavilion performing approximately 1300 deliveries annually
Unit includes 21 patient rooms, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms
Nurse:patient ratios generally follow AWHONN staffing guidelines
1:1 ratio for Pitocin administration and active labor with intermittent monitoring
1:2 ratio for cervical ripening, and 1:1 when combined with Pitocin
1:2 ratio for high-risk medications including Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips
1:3 ratio for Antepartum and Postpartum couplet care
Day shift schedule
ASAP start required

Requirements

Active RN license (NH or Compact) required
BLS certification mandatory
Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
Two professional references from managers required

Additional Information

Provide labor and delivery nursing care across triage, active labor, antepartum, and postpartum units
Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
