Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a MS/Tele position requiring 2 years of recent Med/Surg-Tele experience and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 18:00-6:30)
Patient ratio of 1:6
Call requirement of 2 shifts per month, which may fall on days or nights depending on unit needs
Uses Pyxis medication system and Amrita for documentation

Requirements

Active CO or Compact RN license currently in hand
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg-Tele, Cardiac Tele, or Tele experience required
Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and heparin protocols
Experience with respiratory care including HFNC, ABG interpretation, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care
Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drip titration
Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE
Any charting system experience accepted

Additional Information

Provide nursing care to Med/Surg-Tele patients including those with cardiac, neurological, and orthopedic conditions
Time off requests require manager approval
Scrub color is flexible
