Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 3+ years of Radiologic Technology experience and pediatric experience preferred for a pediatric hospital setting.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology department, including IR suite and IR procedures performed in the OR
- Pediatric patient population preferred
- 5x8 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- On-call required weeknights from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM every third week
- 24-hour call coverage required every third weekend
- Float expectations include working in the IR suite or supporting IR procedures in the OR
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited institution required
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive Radiologic Technology experience required, 5 years and pediatric experience preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- ARRT RT(R) registry required
- ODH Radiologic License required if applicable
- ACLS and ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) registry preferred
- Pediatric experience required
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and radiation safety
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and Radiology Information Systems
- Knowledge of advanced IR computer applications
- Must have a permanent Ohio or Compact license in hand at time of consideration
- At least one recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying to is required
Additional Information
- Independently perform interventional procedures utilizing proper techniques and safe administration of contrast media
- Work within licensed scope for medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture
- Coordinate patient flow and support IR operations
- Exercise professional judgment to maintain equipment in optimal condition
- Support other IR-related functions based on departmental needs
- Demonstrated productivity, teamwork, and ability to work independently
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Must wear hospital-issued OR scrubs
- Smoke-free facility and campus
- Locals accepted at the same bill rate
- Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be discussed and included at time of consideration
