Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience.
Details
- Work in the Trauma ICU of a Level I Trauma teaching hospital
- Care for medical, surgical, and trauma ICU patients
- Day/evening shifts, 12 hours, 3x12, 0700-1930
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Some holiday coverage required
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active WI RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required within the last 3 years
- Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Trauma Level I hospital experience required
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
- Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting, including adult and pediatric dysrhythmia interpretation
Additional Information
- Provide critical care to complex ICU patients including ventilator management, arterial line and central line care, and continuous IV sedation/vasoactive drips
- Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure and respiratory failure
- Experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, and traumatic brain/spinal cord injury care is a plus
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- Parking permit required if parking onsite, with bus and park & ride alternatives available
