Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity PCU position requiring at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting
- High-level, high-functioning PCU with multiple long-term patients
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required to any campus within the health system as needed
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of submission
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
- Experience with peripheral line care/management and PICC line management required
- Experience titrating drips required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG competency exam during compliance (two attempts allowed)
- Current driver's license required to verify address
Additional Information
- Provide high-acuity cardiac and telemetry nursing care within a PCU/stepdown environment
- Manage patients requiring dysrhythmia interpretation and drip titration
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates within this radius accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
