Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week Days assignment requiring RDCS certification and at least 5 years of experience with TEE, TTE, and Stress echo.

Details

• Position within the Echocardiology department
• 5 8-hour day shifts Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Possible Saturday rotation with staff as needed
• Uses Philips ultrasound equipment
• Uses Lumason imaging agent for bubble studies
• EMR system is Epic
• Potential to extend the assignment through September

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required
• Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• ACLS certification preferred
• Proficiency in TEE, TTE, and Stress echo required
• Experience with M-Mode, 2-D, color, and Doppler imaging required
• Epic charting experience preferred
• IV start capability preferred
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment and scanning patients in all aspects of cardiac imaging including exercise testing and TEE
• Reports to the Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer
• Operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the Boston facility to qualify for the standard rate
