Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring 2+ years of experience and RT, CVIS, or RCIS certification eligibility in WA.
Details
- Work in the 1st floor Cardiac Cath Lab of a Level III trauma teaching hospital
- Interventional Cardiology/Radiology specialty unit with 2 beds
- Care for geriatric and adult patients undergoing CV/PV diagnostic and interventional procedures
- 3-person team structure with scrub and monitor role responsibilities
- Uses Philips and McKesson-Change Healthcare Hemo/Maquet equipment
- Charts in Paragon (hospital EHR) and McKesson-Change Healthcare (hemo)
- 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) plus standby
- Every other weekend required with variable on-call hours
- On-call requirement of 7 shifts per 2-week pay period
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active RN license (WA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA)
- RT or CVIS certification, or RCIS eligible for CVIS license in WA
- Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
- Associate's degree minimum required
- Scrub role experience required
- Monitor role experience preferred
- Outgoing, adaptable, team-player personality fit
Additional Information
- Perform scrub and monitor duties supporting cardiac catheterization procedures
- Green scrubs provided by facility
- Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for travel rate
- Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.
Cons
On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
