Description
American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma pediatric hospital, requiring the ability to scrub and circulate and hold an active IL RN license.
Details
- Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a children's hospital setting
- Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- On-call requirements include nights and weekends, 6-12 hour shifts every six weeks
- Must be able to scrub and circulate during procedures
Requirements
- Active IL RN license required in hand
- Current Nursys report required, pulled within the last 2 weeks
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Pediatric OR experience preferred
- Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be considered
Additional Information
- Perform scrub and circulating duties in a pediatric operating room environment
- Complete facility-required modules, which are non-billable and average 8 hours, with some specialties requiring 15-20 hours
- Modules are completed remotely or during orientation, and annually thereafter
- RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO allowed during the first or last week of the contract
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
- Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine locations (including PRN or Ingalls) must have a 7-month gap before returning as a traveler
- First-time travelers may be considered based on experience level
