Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma pediatric hospital, requiring the ability to scrub and circulate and hold an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric OR unit of a children's hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• On-call requirements include nights and weekends, 6-12 hour shifts every six weeks
• Must be able to scrub and circulate during procedures

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required in hand
• Current Nursys report required, pulled within the last 2 weeks
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Pediatric OR experience preferred
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be considered

Additional Information

• Perform scrub and circulating duties in a pediatric operating room environment
• Complete facility-required modules, which are non-billable and average 8 hours, with some specialties requiring 15-20 hours
• Modules are completed remotely or during orientation, and annually thereafter
• RTO limited to no more than 3 days, with no RTO allowed during the first or last week of the contract
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former staff of University of Chicago Medicine locations (including PRN or Ingalls) must have a 7-month gap before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers may be considered based on experience level
