Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week contract in Big Sky, Montana.
Details
- Hospital-based Physical Therapy position
- Days only, 5x8 shift schedule, typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30 minute lunch
- 13-week contract assignment
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances
Requirements
- Active Montana Physical Therapist license required (if applicable)
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Completion of two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education required
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluating physical and functional status of patients and establishing and implementing individualized plans of care
- Documents initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, daily treatments, education, and discharge summaries in compliance with facility policies
- Educates patients, families, and caregivers on pain management, safety, and individualized care plans
- Identifies and addresses patient safety issues in collaboration with families and caregivers
- Works in a busy, fast-paced healthcare environment requiring sound judgment and professionalism
- May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, and infectious diseases
- Schedule may occasionally require work beyond standard hours, including weekends and after-hours shifts
- On-call availability may be required to respond to patient or organizational needs
- Candidates must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
