Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience and a compact or NC RN license in hand.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a hospital setting
• Care for pediatric patients including congenital heart disease/repair, heart transplant, and post cardiac surgery cases
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating required
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• One supervisory reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions during flu season (10/31-3/31)

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients including ventilator management, chest tube care, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Skilled care may include ECMO, CRRT, ICP monitoring, and management of central/arterial lines
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius at a reduced pay rate
• Candidates with prior permanent employment at the health system must not have been employed within the past 6 months
