Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring prior travel experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and the ability to float across multiple ICU environments.

Details

• Work in a Level I trauma center's Critical Care Float Pool
• Care for ICU patients across neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, progressive critical care unit (PCCU), and ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating to a variety of ICUs required
• 48-hour work weeks may be accepted for interested candidates
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in critical care/ICU specialty required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required from AHA or RQI
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level I trauma center experience preferred
• Prior experience floating to a variety of ICUs highly desired
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration
• Medical exemption required for flu vaccine declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted)

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing coverage across multiple ICU units and patient populations
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius are not eligible if located in Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, or Washington counties
• More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks of the last call-out
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• RTO must be requested at time of consideration
