Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/Postpartum/Nursery position requiring a HI RN license and at least 3 years of L&D experience.
Details
- Work in the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units of a hospital setting
- L&D unit has 8 labor beds and Postpartum unit has 18 beds
- Care for laboring mothers, assist with deliveries, and provide immediate newborn and post-delivery maternal care
- Uses Meditech computerized charting system
- Uses GE/Centricity fetal monitoring system
- Variable shift schedule with both day and night shifts possible
- 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours weekly following the first week of orientation
- Scheduled 12-hour call required at least once per month
- No guarantee of specific hours or shift preference
Requirements
- Active HI RN license required by start of assignment (may apply upon offer acceptance if not currently held)
- Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current NRP certification required
- STABLE certification recommended
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification recommended
Additional Information
- Must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the start of the assignment
- Travelers should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to report to Employee Health that Friday morning
- COVID-19 vaccination required
