Description
American Traveler is hiring a Full-Time Echo Technologist for a 13-week assignment with current ARDMS or CCI registration required.
Details
- Work setting includes clinic and cath lab, with potential need for hospital coverage as well
- Monday through Friday schedule with varied shifts
- On-call rotation every 3 weeks with 2 other techs, including 5 hours on Sunday mornings
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Current state license required if applicable
- Current ARDMS or CCI Registered (RCS)
- BLS certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree required
- Allied Health Certification such as ARRT(CT) may be required
Additional Information
- Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician orders and department protocols
- Prepare and position patients appropriately to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal imaging results
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration for optimal image quality
- Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities and potential pathology
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
- Ensure proper documentation of procedures, including patient information and image interpretation
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
- Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing continuing education
