Description

American Traveler is hiring a Full-Time Echo Technologist for a 13-week assignment with current ARDMS or CCI registration required.

Details

• Work setting includes clinic and cath lab, with potential need for hospital coverage as well
• Monday through Friday schedule with varied shifts
• On-call rotation every 3 weeks with 2 other techs, including 5 hours on Sunday mornings
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Current state license required if applicable
• Current ARDMS or CCI Registered (RCS)
• BLS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or bachelor's degree required
• Allied Health Certification such as ARRT(CT) may be required

Additional Information

• Perform transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms according to physician orders and department protocols
• Prepare and position patients appropriately to ensure comfort, safety, and optimal imaging results
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration for optimal image quality
• Analyze acquired images to identify abnormalities and potential pathology
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare providers to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Ensure proper documentation of procedures, including patient information and image interpretation
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines
• Participate in quality assurance activities and ongoing continuing education
