Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and prior travel experience, license required if applicable.
Details
- Hospital-based MRI Technologist position within the Radiology/Cardiology department
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with familiarity with neonates, infants, and pediatrics preferred
- Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours, Wednesday/Thursday/Saturday from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- 13-20 week contract length accepted
- No call requirement
- No floating requirement
- Uses GE and Siemens MRI equipment
- Documents in Epic
- Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- BLS and ARRT certification required; ARRT MR and ARRT R preferred
- License required if applicable
- Skills required include abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal imaging, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral MRA, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2 weighted images, and CINE
- Chest imaging and image post-processing skills preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
Additional Information
- Royal blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 50 miles accepted at a lower rate
- Former Novant Health/New Hanover employees (PERM/PRN/EP) must wait 12 months before applying and disclose prior employment details for facility approval
- Current travel per diem clinicians must choose between travel or per diem status and cannot hold both
- Up to 7 days of RTO auto-approved excluding holidays, with no RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
- Travel pairs allowed if placed on different units and disclosed at submission
- Weekly hospital orientation held from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with mandatory attendance each day during the first week
- Pre-start online learning modules required (approximately 8-10 hours for acute care roles), completed prior to start and annually
- Candidates must report to the lab and complete all required testing within 48 hours of signing
