Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Neuro IR-focused role requiring ARRT and BLS certification, with a state license required if applicable.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department at an academic medical center
- Cardiac and Neuro Interventional Radiology patient population
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 1-2 call shifts per week and 1 call weekend per month
- Uses Siemens imaging equipment and PACS system
- Outpatient and OR settings utilizing C-arm and nephrogram procedures
- Floating required within scope of practice as needed
Requirements
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required, ARRT Advanced Cert preferred
- State license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Prior IR/Neuro IR experience as a staff tech required for consideration
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Experience with a wide range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, biopsy, and vascular studies
- Skilled in genitourinary and neurological interventional procedures
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, genitourinary, and neurological studies
- Work within a Level I Trauma teaching hospital environment
- Specialty-specific orientation modules completed during onboarding
- Maximum RTO of 40 hours per 13-week contract, to be disclosed prior to submission
- Candidates must disclose any planned time off between offer acceptance and start date
- Previous UVA Health employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days at the facility
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for travel rates
- First-time travelers may be considered if they have relevant IR/Neuro IR staff experience
