Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring EPIC experience and scrub/circulate skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting with 14 rooms
• ,
• Provides coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections
• Pediatric to adult patient population
• Handles all surgical specialties except cardiac and ophthalmology
• Averages 50 procedures per day
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• No weekend requirements
• On-call requirement of approximately 1 call per month
• Float coverage required to vascular, ortho, trauma, general surgery, robotics, urology, and ENT

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of current OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Scrub and circulate experience required
• Strong skills in vascular and orthopedic surgery required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have own vehicle

Additional Information

• Primarily a circulating RN role with scrub experience considered a valuable additional skill
• Responsibilities include patient assessment, maintaining a sterile surgical environment, pre/post-operative education, and coordinating care throughout the surgical continuum
• Candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties in NY will not be considered
• Permanent address must match driver's license or state ID and will be verified during compliance review
• Requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment start; no more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
• COVID vaccination encouraged but not required
