Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery/OB position requiring at least 2 years of OB experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in the OB/GYN unit of a hospital setting
• Varied 12-hour shifts (3P-3A and 3A-3P), with negotiability upon prior discussion
• Schedule requests must be discussed and agreed upon prior to acceptance
• DAYS or NIGHTS only schedules will also be reviewed
• Required to work every 3rd weekend
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active Ohio (OH) or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), all through AHA where applicable
• Minimum 2 years of OB experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Ability to function as a 1st assist and scrub for OB procedures is highly preferred
• Skills checklist pertinent to OB/GYN specialty, current within 1 year, required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria
• Assists in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes
• Candidates residing within a 45-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and subject to a reduced travel rate
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
