Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric OR RN requiring an active CA RN license, BSN, and prior Pediatric General OR experience at a children's teaching hospital.

Details

• Pediatric OR unit within a children's hospital setting
• 10-hour day shifts with variable start times (0645, 0845, or 1045), rotated weekly based on department need
• Monday through Friday schedule with occasional weekend coverage
• May be required to float to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand
• BSN required
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Prior Pediatric General OR experience required
• Ambulatory OR, CVOR, General OR, Pedi CVOR, and Trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Children's facility experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Provide surgical nursing care within a Pediatric Operating Room in a teaching hospital environment
• Any prior employment history with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed for a rehire eligibility check
• Two references from the most recent employer required for consideration
• Travel pairs are allowed but generally will not be placed on the same unit, and married couples may not work on the same unit
• All RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract, and RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as traveling candidates
• First-time travelers may not be considered for this position
