Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of IR experience and ARRT-R certification for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the Interventional Radiology unit performing a wide range of IR procedures
- Procedures include venous access, central line and PICC care, angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, TIPS, dialysis graft interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, and upper/lower extremity angiography
- Additional procedures include ERCP, gastrostomy/nephrostomy tube placement, biliary drainage, cystoscopy, and ureteral/renal artery stent placement
- Also supports cardiac cath lab procedures including PTCA and neurological stent placement
- Uses Siemens imaging equipment and PACS system
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with a rotating day off, 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Call requirement includes one primary weekday and one backup weekday per month, plus one weekend call every 6 weeks alternating between primary and backup
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology required
- ARRT-R and BLS certifications required; ACLS also required
- Proficiency with Siemens imaging equipment required
- Community hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for the second reference; no coworker references accepted
Additional Information
- Perform interventional radiology procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout
- Operate Siemens imaging equipment effectively during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC when applicable
- First-time travelers are not considered for this role; previous IR experience is required
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to be hired as a traveler
- RTO must be submitted and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing the contract
