Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 2 years of CVICU experience and an active IN or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a new and specialized 8-bed Pediatric CVICU connected to a 14-bed PICU
• Care for pediatric cardiac patients both pre- and post-operatively
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team and intensivist team
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• 36 hours per week with every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• On-call responsibilities required
• Flexible scheduling required to accommodate surgical cases
• Float to PICU, Pediatrics, and NICU as needed
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA)
• NRP and NRP Advanced certification (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics) required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Additional Information

• Provide specialized critical care nursing to pediatric cardiac patients in a new CVICU setting
• Work as part of a collaborative team with surgical and intensivist staff
• Subject to a facility radius rule that may affect pay rate for local candidates
• Local candidates accepted, though rate may be reduced based on radius rule
